- This scene is taken from the south-west coast of Mauritius. I visited in November 2007 and experienced the vivid colours of the ocean on a calm and peaceful day. A lone sailing boat caught my attention on the horizon, the subtle breeze barely making any impact on it's journey.
The artwork itself is painted on a deep edge gallery box canvas (35mm). I have continued the painting around the sides so so that no frame is required. This creates a stylish and modern finish. The painting itself is fairly lightweight and comes complete with fixings so all you need is a nail in the wall.
I have used thin layers of acrylic paint to build up the vivacity and tone in the sky and sea. This painting will make a stunning centrepiece and statement to any room.
